Infrastructure Deterioration
There are many areas in the city where streets, sidewalks and curbing along with bridges and some city buildings are in need of updating and repair. The longer it takes to affect these repairs and updates the more expensive it will become.
The first step would be to identify the problem areas and then create a comprehensive list and a system of priorities as to which problem should be remedied first. A plan such as this, however, would completely depend on the financing available at the time.
With this in mind the importance of increasing the tax base in the city through new business and annexation can clearly be seen.
